GE General Electric IC200ALG630 Analog Input Module
About the IC200ALG630
The IC200ALG630 is a component module for the VersaMax I/O platform, formerly manufactured by GE Intelligent Platforms (GE IP) and now produced by Emerson Automation.
The module is specifically designed for temperature measurement requirements or non-standard millivolt signals provided by integrated sensors.
The module features seven (7) analog input channels and supports direct wiring of a wide range of thermocouple sensor types, such as J, K, T, S, and S.
such as J, K, T, S, and R, as well as a variety of millivolt signals including +/-19.5mV, +/-39mV, +/-78.125mV, +/-156.25mV, +/-312.5mV, and +/-625mV.
The module has a 16-bit conversion resolution.
The IC200ALG630 has a 16-bit signal conversion resolution provided by a single analog-to-digital converter (ADC) on each input channel.
In addition, each input channel has a scan time of 60 ms per point at 60 Hz and 50 ms per point at 70 Hz.
Voltage measurement accuracy is +/- 0.2% and temperature measurement accuracy is +/- 0.15% with a consistency error of +/-0.3 degrees Celsius or +/-0.5 degrees Fahrenheit.
In addition, the IC200ALG630 is capable of diagnostics at every input point, including open thermocouple, over/under range, high/low alarms, and thermistor errors.
The IC200ALG630 has a backplane current consumption of 3 mA at the 125 VDC and 5.3 VDC outputs on the backplane.
It is also rated for optical and frame-to-ground isolation with a continuous voltage duration of 250 VAC and a 1500 VAC voltage duration of 1 minute.
The module also provides LED status indicators, specifically an OK LED that indicates active backplane power when the module fails, and amber when lit green.
The IC200ALG630 module is GE’s 16-bit analog input module. It is an industrial module designed to handle a wide range of application requirements.
It comes with a 7-bit thermocouple with 16 channels. www.honeywell-diver.com This thermocouple analog input module receives power from the backplane power supply.
It offers four cold end compensation options, no cold end, remote cold end, fixed cold end, and localized cold end compensation.
It is rated at 5 volts DC. It supports different thermocouples of type J, K, T, S and R.
The IC200ALG630 module is capable of drawing a total of 5 milliamps of current from the 125 volt bus.
The update rate of the analog module is 60 milliseconds for 60 Hz and 50 milliseconds for 70 Hz.
An OK indicator on the front of the module indicates the presence of backplane power.
The IC200ALG630 module has a compact design that saves panel space.
It measures 4.3 inches wide, 2.63 inches high, and 1.95 inches deep.
The temperature range should be set between 0 and 60 degrees Celsius. The thermocouple module has advanced diagnostic features.
It can issue channel-specific alarm reports. It can also detect over- and under-range conditions in the input.
Faults caused by thermistors can be easily detected by the module as internal faults. The module has not experienced thermal derating.
